When the homeowners purchased this original 1980s structure, it lacked a sense of connectivity and natural light. They wanted to create a space where they could entertain family and friends - a familiar sanctuary that would remind them of their home country of Argentina. Working closely together to shape a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors, the design team envisioned a space that allows the interiors to open out into lush landscaped gardens.

The new outdoor entry sequence features bowed trellises that welcome visitors through a tunnel of greenery and fountains. Inside, dark wood ceiling beams create a contemporary contrast to corridors lined with classic archways. The detailed stone and tile work plays a central role in accomplishing the desired environment. Encaustic tile graces the floors inside, while herringbone slate tiles create a luxe texture amongst the lavishly landscaped outdoors.
